About Us
I'm Will

I grew up in a few places around the South of England, but have called Oxford home for almost 20 years now.

Whenever people ask me why I've stayed in one place so long - especially given my love of travel - I say this: no matter where I've been, I always get excited about coming home. That's how I know it's still home.

Things did change a bit when I met Lisa - but only in good ways! Home is now more about being together. That makes travel much easier.

Together we've travelled to places like Vietnam, Thailand, Uganda, Cambodia, Canada, Mexico and the USA - plus lots of places in Europe.
Some of those visits have been just for a week, some a month, and a few have been even longer...
We each also have a list of places we've been on our own, that we now want to show to the other - which makes planning the next adventure quite the challenge!

When we're not dreaming up new adventures, Lisa and I can often be found on our bicycles, usually making our way to or from a local cafe. I also like to write. I wrote a book a couple of years ago, and I'm working on a sequel. In the not-too-distant future I'll set it up on Amazon, and then you can all tell me not to quit the day job!

And I'm Lisa.

Goodness, what to say.... I'm from Cambridge. Lived in York, then Washington DC, then York again, then Oxford, a brief stint doing my PhD in London and back to Oxford.

I'm an immunologist and work in malaria vaccine development with an awesome team. So awesome in fact, that my boss said yes to my request to take 4 months off to do this slightly bonkers trip.

I'm also training for an ironman triathlon in Wales in September 2022. I entered a competition and won a place to join the 5 other HokaXWiggle Flyers. It's already been a pretty overwhelming experience and I'll be chatting about my training while Will and I are travelling. Wish me luck!!
